Playing and learning keeps the mind young and allows it to stay fresh and on top of our game by experimenting without the fear of failure. Serious Play is a fictional exhibition series that showcases the works of two New York based artists, Mike Perry and Paula Scher, through book, poster, and web design. The title derives from Scher’s philosophy of how the process of design is approached when at a young age within the creative field. Perry’s quirky and incredibly colorful illustrations are juxtaposed with Scher’s dynamic and expressive aesthetic. With their determination and constant strive to produce bold and unique designs, their designs have made an incredible impact towards many designer’s inspirations and world-known brand identities.
